Newcomers Club invites you to luncheon and program

The Fox Valley Newcomers and Neighbors Club welcomes new members. Attending a luncheon is a great way to sample the club. Anyone who resides in the Fox Valley area who is interested in meeting people and making friends should consider joining. Some club members are new or not so new to the area, retired, getting back into social activities after children go to school, or just looking to network. The club can help you with the many questions and challenges involved in relocating or just learning more about the area.

The first luncheon for the new year will be Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Francesca's by the River, 200 S. Second St. in St. Charles. Guests are welcome. Meet-and-greet is at 11:30 a.m. followed by a noon lunch and program presented by personal trainer Mark Andersen. He will motivate guests to get fit and seek balance in life for the new year.

On the menu is insalata della casa, rigatoni able verdure, pollo al limone and tiramisu, all served family style.

The cost for the event is $30, which includes lunch as well as tax and gratuity.

Raffle tickets will be for sale for a 50/50 drawing to benefit the club's chosen charity, Safe Families for Children.
