Miss America at Stevenson’s World’s Fair
Miss America 2014, Nina Davuluri, participated in Saturday’s World’s Fair at Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire.
Davuluri is the first Indian-American woman to win the title and was the honored guest and speaker at the event. Davuluri helped students raise funds for the Circle of Women charity by taking photographs with visitors and signing autographs. At the end of Saturday’s student cultural performance, Davuluri spoke about cultural diversity.
The World’s Fair continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and features art, artifacts, clothes and cuisine from around the world at student-led booths.
Sunday’s student cultural performance starts at 3 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.
