High School Seniors Encouraged to Enter Scholarship Contest at The Peoples' Bank

Applications for the 2014 Community Bankers Association of Illinois' (CBAI) annual Scholarship Contest are due to The Peoples' Bank of Illinois by January 27th. The bank is able to nominate three students for consideration for the statewide competition.

One winner from each of thirteen regions in Illinois will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship with one of the thirteen to be selected as an overall winner who will be eligible to have their award renewed for up to four years. An additional $500 scholarship will be awarded to a runner-up form each region.

Interested students can pick up an application at Peoples' Bank locations at 41 South Vail and 1104 South Arlington Heights Road. In addition to a completed application, students must submit an essay on “The Importance of Community Banking” according to bank official Harland J. Krebel, Jr.
