Restaurateur Banchet deserves special notice

I read your article printed a few weeks ago giving tribute to those local celebrities who passed away in 2013. There was one glaring oversight in your article, one that I was certain would either be corrected by your staff or quickly pointed out by other readers. To my amazement, this has not occurred.

Please add Jean Banchet of Le Francais fame to your list. He not only put Wheeling on the map, but brought delightful French cuisine to the suburbs. Many hearts were downcast by the void left on Milwaukee Avenue when he closed his restaurant and are deeply saddened by his passing — too young!
