Patrons can vote for favorite children's book during mock election

The Caldecott Medal is awarded each year by the Association of Library Service to Children to the children's book with the most acclaimed illustrations.

Through Jan. 20, patrons can stop by any children's department at any of the three Naperville Public Library facilities to vote for the book that they think should win this year's award. They can create a craft inspired by the Caldecott award. The Mock Caldecott winner will be announced Jan. 21. The official winner of the Caldecott Medal will be announced on Jan. 27. The three library facilities are located at Nichols Library, 200 W. Jefferson Ave.; Naper Blvd. Library, 2035 S. Naper Blvd. and 95th Street Library, 3015 Cedar Glade Drive.
