Fairy Tale Dance, Sport Night, School's Out & “Kids Only” Flea Market from Deerfield Park District

Four popular winter special events at Deerfield Park District are all set and registration is ongoing.

A “Fairy Tale” Dinner Dance for daughters in Grades K-5 with their dad / other adult is Sunday, February 9, 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. The event invites guests to don their favorite fairy tale attire and enjoy dinner, entertainment, some dancing and a souvenir photo at the Patty Turner Center in Deerfield.

Friday, February 28 presents a half-day of school for students in grades 1-5 in Deerfield's District 109, so the Park District has designed a busy and enjoyable afternoon of games, activities, and projects. Deerfield Park District will provide transportation to our Half Day Happening from the District 109 Elementary Schools. Activities take place from 11:40 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Jewett Park Community Center.

Boys between age 4 and 10 and their mom/other adult are invited to attend Sport Night at Sachs Recreation Center, on Friday, March 7, 6:30-8:15 p.m. Team up to win prizes in sports and contests, play games and chow down on a treat. Honor your favorite sports team by coming dressed in their team colors or jersey. Awards will be presented. A souvenir photo provides a lasting memory for a terrific evening.

Our “Kids' Only” Flea Market offers the public a chance to peruse and purchase games, books, toys, stuffed animals, sports equipment, trading cards, and more from young entrepreneurs in grades K-8, on Saturday, March 8, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. There is no entry fee. Young sellers may reserve a table now for a small fee and set up “shop” in Jewett Park Community Center starting at noon on March 8.
