Foul play not suspected in forest preserve death
Foul play is not suspected in the death of a 37-year-old Wauconda man whose body was found in a forest preserve near Barrington Hills on Christmas Day, according to Cook County Sheriff’s Police.
However, the exact cause and manner of his death remained undetermined Thursday pending the results of toxicology tests at the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. The man had been reporting missing after last being seen Monday at a Carpentersville bar.
Cook County Forest Preserve Communications Specialist Don Parker said forest preserve police responded to a report around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday from an equestrian who found the body in the 300 block of Bateman Road in the Spring Creek Valley Forest Preserve.
Cook County Sheriff’s Police are in charge of the death investigation.
