IDOT work must go on, despite weather
It was a bitterly cold Christmas Eve day, but the Illinois Department of Transportation needs fuel to run its operation, no matter the weather.
Rob Szymkowski, with Burke Transport Service in Libertyville, delivered fuel to IDOT’s Arlington Heights facility on Tuesday.
He said unloading the fuel is the coldest and most dangerous part of his job.
