Get Covered Bensenville! Open Enrollment for Health Insurance/Medicaid Dec 20 & 23

VNA Health Care will host two local “Get Covered” events on Friday, December 20 from 12:00-4:00 p.m. and Monday, December 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Bensenville Village Hall, 12 S. Center Street, Bensenville.

Certified Navigators from VNA Health Care will be available to help with enrollment in health insurance through the Illinois Marketplace and Medicaid. Navigators can also answer questions and talk about who is eligible for the newly expanded Medicaid program, what is offered and how to get coverage on the Illinois Marketplace, and other benefits available. There is no charge to attend.

VNA Health Care provides affordable health care to over 50,000 women, men and children living primarily in Kane, DuPage, and Will counties. VNA runs 8 community health centers called Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) which have received national recognition by HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) for exceeding national quality standards in family practice, OB/GYN and pediatric health services. VNA is very committed to helping the uninsured in our area enroll in the expanded Medicaid program as well as the Illinois Health Insurance Marketplace. To assist in this work, it has applied for and received $1.2 million in grant funding and has hired a total of over 45 full and part-time Illinois Assisters and Navigators.
