Songs, Santa and skyrockets herald holidays in Mundelein
The village of Mundelein and the Mundelein Park District held their 13th annual holiday tree-lighting event Friday night at Kracklauer Park. Jazz Spectrum and the Fremont Middle School Singers performed at this longtime seasonal gathering.
Along with lighting of the tree, there were visits with Santa, refreshments and a fireworks display.
More than 200 residents braved the cold and remained at Kracklauer Park for a 10-minute fireworks show that concluded the holiday tree-lighting event Friday night in Mundelein.
