Hanover Township, Streamwood HS hosting heroin forum

Hanover Township and Streamwood High School are hosting a community forum from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, called “From Prescriptions to the Streets: Heroin in Our Community.” The forum, which will be held in Streamwood High School’s auditorium at 701 W. Schaumburg Road, is an effort to raise awareness about the increase of heroin use in the community, its relationship to prescription drug use, the legal and medical impact on the community, prevention efforts, warning signs and treatment options. High school and middle school students and their parents are invited to attend.
