Roselle residents celebrate the season

The euphony of holiday music filled the air as Tom Malouf entertained local children and adults Saturday at “Celebrate the Season” at the Roselle Public Library as part of holiday activities, including the traditional tree-lighting ceremony featuring Santa Claus and Mayor Gayle Smolinski.

”I enjoy playing the kickoff event. The children always get excited,” said Malouf, who is in his third year playing at this event.

Yordanka Patkova of Roselle was all smiles while her daughter Anna, 2, danced to Malouf’s music. She said they came to “have fun and feel the holiday spirit.”

Plenty of apple cider and holiday cookies were available during the three-hour celebration, which drew more than 50 people.
