Fishing rules up again in Island Lake:

Island Lake’s lake management committee will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at Veterans Park, 432 W. State Road, to discuss controversial plans to change fishing restrictions and other issues, according to the village. The committee has proposed limiting who can fish on Island Lake and what type of fish can be taken from the lake. Village trustees, however, have repeatedly rejected the proposals, following community opposition. The committee also plans to name member Ken Wick its chairman.
