New owners for Kampai Japanese Steak House

Kampai Japanese Steak House, 2330 S. Elmhurst Road, will have a new liquor license, to reflect the change in ownership. The steakhouse’s head chef and manager, Inseok Suh and his wife, Gu Lim Kim, will take over the business, which has been a Mount Prospect fixture for 38 years. Gu Lim Kim also manages several Chipotle restaurants. No changes other than ownership are expected to the restaurant. “My family and I have been going (to the restaurant) since our oldest guy was a baby, and he’s 36 years old now,” Mayor Arlene Juracek told Suh at this week’s village board meeting. “I think we know every item on your menu.”
