Relief efforts for tornado victims under way in West Chicago

The city of West Chicago has learned that the West Chicago Fire Protection District's (WCFPD) Fire Station 6, located at 200 Fremont St., will be accepting donations for downstate tornado relief.

Items being accepted are winter clothing such as hats, gloves, scarves; toiletries; non-perishable food items; and bottled water. Items will be delivered by members of the WCFPD.

If you would like to contribute to this relief effort, please bring your donations to the Fire Station by 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22.
