Pet shelter volunteers to wrap gifts at Northbrook Court
Orphans of the Storm is pleased to announce partnering with Northbrook Court shopping mall to showcase adoptable dogs and cats and kittens and offering gift wrapping this holiday season.
The Holiday Pet Showcase will be located in the lower level in the mall just steps outside of Lord & Taylor. The pet showcase is currently open, weekends, but on Dec. 14, the showcase will be open full-time through Christmas Eve.
Wherever you buy your holiday gifts, bring them to Northbrook Court to be beautifully wrapped. Wrapping will be done for suggested donations that go directly to benefit the shelter animals.
This Holiday Pet Showcase and gift wrap is manned by shelter volunteers. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up to transport animals, introduce the animals and man the store wrapping gifts. This is a wonderful opportunity to be hands on with the animals and actually be a part of the shelter’s lifesaving mission. A full schedule is posted on the Orphans website at www.orphansofthestorm.org, on the shelter’s Facebook page and at the shelter. To sign up email Jackie@orphansofthestorm.org.
The shelter is also accepting contributions to help supply the gift wrapping. Donations of unopened wrapping paper, tissue paper and boxes of all sizes are being accepted at the shelter.
There are hundreds of animals at Orphans of the Storm, each hoping that this holiday season will be their second chance in life. Please consider adding a pet to your life and make a difference by rescuing a shelter dog or cat this holiday season.
Orphans of the Storm is open for adoptions every day 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
