Consumers Credit Union Promotes Employees To Management Positions

Waukegan, IL, November 19, 2013: Consumers Credit Union (CCU; $604 Million, Waukegan, IL) recently announced a series of internal promotions to key management positions, along with the creation of the new position of Comptroller. Judy Alstrom, Jennifer Wenckowski and Angeles Acevedo were promoted Member Experience Manager at the Member-owned credit union's Gurnee, Round Lake Beach and Mundelein locations, while Maria Contreras was promoted to Marketing Manager. Additionally, Tyler Lange joins Team CCU as their new Comptroller.

Judy Alstrom's background with CCU includes experience in Counter Service, the Marketing Department and the Contact Center, where she was Assistant Manager prior to her promotion. Jennifer Wenckowski joined the credit union in 2006 in the Counter Service Department, most recently as that Department's manager in Gurnee and then the Waukegan locations. Angeles Acevedo's career at CCU includes experience in VISA and Counter Service, as well as a Member Service Representative prior to taking on her new duties in Mundelein.

The position of Member Experience Manager is new to CCU. Their primary responsibility is to assure everyone entering the branch has a quality experience, whether they're an existing Member, potential new Member or a guest. Other duties of the Member Experience Manager include directing the operations of the branch office, while ensuring the branch meets the organization's financial, operational, service and growth plans.

Maria Contreras began her CCU career in Counter Service, joining Team CCU in 2002. Prior to joining the Marketing Department in 2008, Maria was one of the first Contact Center Representatives when that new Department was created in 2005. Maria's new duties include creating and executing marketing and advertising campaigns, managing the Marketing budget and overseeing the credit union's community outreach program.

Tyler Lange joined CCU in July of this year, bringing an extensive background in the financial services industry. His experience as a credit analyst and accountant at other financial institutions has given him an extensive knowledge base that is critical for success in his new position. A certified CPA, Tyler's new responsibilities as Comptroller include managing the Accounting Department while overseeing the financial performance of the credit union, in conjunction with CCU's Vice-President of Finance
