Arlington Hts. Park District wins budget award

The Arlington Heights Park District has been awarded the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association for its 2012 Budget.

This is the seventh consecutive year the district has received this award, and the 20th time in the park district’s history.

The award represents a significant achievement as it reflects the district’s commitment to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting, the finance officers association said. In addition, the award demonstrates that the district’s budget is presented in a format that provides increased transparency about the park district’s activities and how its funds are invested.
