Holiday movie night Dec. 6 in Palatine

The Palatine Park District will present a free showing of the 1946 classic holiday film “It’s A Wonderful Life” at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, at Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, 150 E. Wood St., Palatine.

The event will also feature caroling with the Allegro Adult Choir beginning at 6:30 p.m., but doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

Concessions, including popcorn from Signature Sweets in Palatine, will be available for purchase, and a large raffle will be held to raise funds for the Susannah’s Gift Scholarship Fund. This fund was established in memory of Susannah Kist, a longtime Palatine Park District theater and music teacher, who lost her battle with cancer in 2009.

Admission to the event is free, but tickets are required. Tickets are available at the Community Center, 250 E. Wood St., Palatine, and at Cutting Hall.
