6th Annual Friends of LVDL Thank-a-Vet-Book Sale

The Friends of Lake Villa District Library invite you to support local Veterans at the 6th Annual Thank A Vet Used Book Sale.

The doors open to the general public Thursday, November 7 at 6p.m. Additional hours are Friday, November 8, 9:00a.m. -4:00p.m. and Saturday, November 9, 9:00am. - 3:00p.m. Bag sale begins at noon on Saturday, 11/9.

The Friends of LVDL host several sales throughout the year. The money raised funds equipment, special collections and services for library patrons. Supporting local Veterans began in 2007 and has become an annual effort.

"Funds from this sale will, most likely, provide a December outing for a group of veterans who are shut in" said VFW member Bob Amburgey. Friends members have been working diligently preparing for the sale and hope this year's efforts will be the best yet.

If you’re looking for great bargains on books, DVDs and other audiovisual materials, Lake Villa District Library is the place to be. The library is located at 1001 E. Grand Avenue in Lake Villa. Call 847-356-7711 with questions.
