MEDITATION WORKSHOP AT DUPAGE UU CHURCH, NAPERVILLE
A free two-hour meditation workshop will be held at DuPage Unitarian Universalist Church, 1828 Old Naperville Rd., Naperville, on Sunday, November 10th at 1:30 p.m.
The workshop will help participants develop a proactive relationship with the daily challenges and stresses in their lives, and discover how meditation, whose benefits are supported by current brain research, can provide a consistent spiritual workout and a source of genuine joy and connection with positive inner resources.
The interactive workshop is suited for first-time as well as experienced meditators. Participants should dress comfortably and are welcome to bring a meditation cushion or bench if they wish.
The workshop will be facilitated by Mary Kullman, a licensed professional counselor, and Michael Rupley, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist.
Kullman has practiced meditation for 15 years and is a founding member of the Naperville meditation group Present Moment Sangha. Rupley has been meditating for three years and is currently completing national certification in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. Both Kullman and Rupley regularly attend meditation retreats and use mindfulness as an adjunct in their work with clients.
Advance registration for the workshop is recommended by calling the DuPage UU Church office at 630/505-9408.
