Wheeling High jazz band to perform two gigs Nov. 10

If you enjoy great jazz and good food, please consider these two opportunities to enjoy the music of Wheeling High School's critically acclaimed Jazz Band 1 on Sunday, November 10: Wheeling's Jazz Band 1 will play at the Outback Steakhouse, 720 W. Lake Cook Road in Buffalo Grove from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

This fundraiser will offer a full meal for $20, with jazz as the accompaniment to your lunch.

Later that same day, November 10th, Wheeling's Jazz Band 1 will play a gig at Durty Nellies, 180 N. Smith Street in Palatine from 6:00 to 6:30 pm, joined by the Jazz Consortium at 6:30 pm.

There's a $10 cover charge after 6:30 pm. Wheeling High School's Jazz Band 1 has recently accepted an invitation to perform at the 2014 Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.

They're also performing at the prestigious Midwest Clinic held at the McCormick Place in Chicago this December.
