Elk Grove 1, York 0: The Grenadiers survived by scoring in the second overtime in Class 3A boys soccer regional semifinal play Tuesday to advance to the championship round of the regional they are hosting.

Wheeling 6, Notre Dame 0: In regional semifinal play, the Mid-Suburban League champs advanced without much trouble at Maine East.

WW South 1, Conant 0: A first-half goal by Elliott Kettle held up as the Tigers eliminated the regional host Cougars from the postseason. WW South South will meet Lake Park, a 5-1 victor against Bartlett, for the regional title at Conant.

Evanston 2, Prospect 1: The Wildkits got a goal in the second overtime to eliminate the Knights from the Loyola regional.
