Mt. Prospect walkers have a place again

Thanks to Brian Taylor, director of recreation, and the Mount Prospect park board, we now have a free indoor place to walk in Mount Prospect.

The hockey rink and gym space at the Central Community Center, located at 1000 W. Central Road, is now available from 6-11 a.m. weekdays for walkers.

Since Randhurst Mall was torn down, area walkers have not had a free, safe, indoor place to walk during inclement weather.

I would like to offer my personal thanks to Brian Taylor, to Mount Prospect park board President Tim Doherty, Executive Director Greg Kuhs and the commissioners for their decision to meet this community need.
