1st Frato's of Schaumburg Car & Bike Show benefitting Autism Speaks a success
On Sunday, September 22, 2013, Frato's Pizza of Schaumburg held its inaugural Charity
Car & Bike Show. Nearly 50 cars and motorcycles showed up to show off their goods and win trophies.
The day was filled with fun and excitement with raffle prizes, trivia and music. Proceeds from the day's activities benefitted children and families struggling with autism, a neurological disorder that affects 1 out of every 88 children. Over $750.00 was donated to Autism Speaks, the nation's largest autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism.
The Event featured Emmy awardwinning host of Brunson's Best Ted Brunson. Brunson has a
personal connection to autism and was happy to be a part of the festivities. Additional sponsors for the
event included Yelp, Vienna Beef, Turano Bread, Pilates Plus of Schaumburg, AutoZone and
NeedGraphics.com. The event organizer and entertainment was provided by Fuzzy Dice Promotions.
Michael Kudrna, President of Frato's thought the Car show was a great success. Michael had this to say
of the day, “The positive spirit surrounding this event was fantastic and Autism Speaks is one of the most organized charities I have ever encountered. All of our sponsors truly helped make the event special and Ted Brunson simply brings a level of excitement that makes everyone around him feel great. He has a unique gift which is rarely seen in others hence his recent success of Brunson's Best and everything else he has been a part of. Overall, we had a great time, helped out a great cause and next year will be even better as we have more time to plan.”
