Maria Dripps-Paulson named Woman Of Distinction by Kane County Magazine
Kane County Magazine (kanecountymagazine@shawmedia.com) honors the Women of Distinction Award winners. The recipients of the honor of Kane County Women of Distinction have been nominated by a community member and then chosen as representative role models and leaders in their fields and communities. These awards are given to women who have made a difference in Kane County.
Maria Dripps-Paulson from Sugar Grove will be one of the 10 women having the distinct honor this year as a Kane County Woman of Distinction and will be honored at a luncheon at Mill Creek Golf Club in Geneva on Wednesday, October 23.
Maria was nominated by Diane McFarlin for her extraordinary work and service as Executive Director of the Kaneland Arts Initiative. She has helped grow this award winning organization to include an annual Fine Arts Festival, free to the community to experience professional visual and performing artists; a growing performing arts series throughout the year; an artists in residence program in District #302, and an annual summer theatre program including an acting and technical family of community members ages 8-78!
She is a tireless volunteer in her community serving on commissions and boards for hospitals, charities, and twins/multiples groups. Maria does all this work while raising 4 children. She is mom to Philip (age 10) and Zoe, Naomi, and Clara (age 6)...yes triplets! She is married to Tim.
We thank Maria Dripps-Paulson for all she does for the Kaneland Community and congratulate her on the well-deserved honor of being named a Woman of Distinction!
