Teen arrested after burglaries

A teenager was arrested Tuesday morning after he was accused of burglarizing a house in Ingleside and stealing a vehicle, Lake County sheriff’s police said. Charles E. Oberlin, 19, of the 27000 block of West Bayview Drive, Ingleside, initially was stopped by the victims of the crime, police said. Oberlin was charged with residential burglary, motor vehicle theft and three counts of felony theft. Oberlin had committed several burglaries near Route 134 and Robin Road and then stole a pickup truck, police said. He was stopped after he returned to the area to retrieve some stolen items he’d left behind, police said.
