Crystal Lake teen charged in stabbing

A Crystal Lake teen has been charged with stabbing another person during a fight Friday night, police said.

Police were called to break up a fight in the 200 block of Uteg Street at about 10:20 p.m. When they arrived, a juvenile boy had been stabbed and the suspects had already fled.

On Saturday, police arrested Tyler J. Sharbaugh, 18, of Crystal Lake, and charged him with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was treated and released. Sharbaugh was taken to the McHenry County jail and his bond was set at $10,000.

Additional arrests and charges are expected, police said.
