The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions.

The organization is passionate about taking action in the fight against Alzheimer's disease as evidenced by a company-wide initiative aimed at exceptional fundraising for the cause and creating awareness of the Alzheimer's Association and concern for Alzheimer's disease. As a 2013 Walk challenge, with donations of $150,000 collectively received through all of its retirement communities, Senior Star will provide matching support to the Alzheimer's Association. “Our dedication to the Alzheimer's cause has led us to a new and deeper commitment to taking action that will inspire others to get involved,” said Thomas.
