Give diplomacy a shot in Syria

Syria’s Assad and Russia have offered a possible way to avoid escalating the Syrian conflict by securing the weaponized chemicals and placing them under international inspection/control.

With Russia part of this diplomatic path, the U.N. Security Council can participate productively. Let’s give this a shot.
