Countryside fire district accredited:

The Countryside Fire Protection District has received Accredited Agency status with the Commission on Fire Accreditation International for the fourth time. The Vernon Hills-based district first was accredited in 1998 and is one of the few legacy organizations that have been through the process four times. Countryside is one of 13 accredited agencies in Illinois. The process involves extensive self-assessment and a peer review. A team of four evaluators in May reviewed and evaluated Countryside’s strategic plan, mission, vision, business practices, policies and overall operations.
