Budget cutting is destroying nation

The summer presents many opportunities to experience the benefits of a strong federal government. Trips to the National Parks reveal the vision of our past government leaders in setting aside some small parts of our country for the recreational benefit of all citizens. A ride in the mountainous back country can show you the government built TVA dams in Tennessee and the ubiquitous mailbox. An amazing aspect of an efficient central government is that for 46 cents you can communicate to anyone in the country. If you like to communicate electronically, the government-created and financed Internet will allow you to do that as well.

But recently, I have noticed my favorite National Weather Service marine Web page has disappeared and saw a notice on a NOAA website that it was deferring buoy maintenance. My favorite recreational past times are in jeopardy because of the Republican Party created budget cuts — commonly referred to as sequestration.

I am mad, as you know what, at the Republican regressive, nation-destroying budget cutting. I am writing my Congress people to tell them to send the nonsense of the Tea Party back to the hinterlands.
