Sky scouting report vs. Connecticut Sun
Here’s a scouting report for Friday’s game:
Sky scouting report
Chicago Sky (13-7) at Connecticut Sun (6-13), 6 p.m. Friday, Mohegan Sun Arena
Last time: On Tuesday, the Sky lost at home to Indiana, 64-58, and the Sun lost at home to Los Angeles, 74-72.
Skinny: There’s something about playing the Connecticut Sun that often brings out the best in Sky center Sylvia Fowles. The matchup with Sun center Tina Charles probably has a lot to do with it. Arguably the best rebounders and post players in the WNBA, those two seem to enjoy the head-to-head battle. Fowles is coming off a 14-point, 17-rebound outburst in Tuesday’s loss to Indiana while Charles rolled up 25 points and 13 rebounds on the Sparks … The Sky, which is only 5-5 on the road this season, still sits in first place in the Eastern Conference, one-half game up on the Atlanta Dream. The Sun, meanwhile, is in last place and was without point guard Kara Lawson (personal reasons) on Tuesday.
Next: Minnesota Lynx at Sky, 5 p.m. Sunday
