Retirement Community Opens its Doors to the Region by Offering Ongoing Support

ROMEOVILLE, IL (August 8, 2013) – As part of a community partnership and education program, Senior Star at Weber Place, 605 South Edward Drive in Romeoville, is hosting numerous weekly and/or monthly support groups for family members and other community residents throughout Will and DuPage County and beyond. The ongoing series is designed to offer support, guidance and understanding to those individuals who have lost loved ones and for those who are coping with loved ones that have various illnesses associated with disease. Groups are free, all are welcome and no advance registration is required.

“We are pleased to be able to offer our expertise and compassion to family members and residents in the greater community,” said Michelle Franzak, executive director of Senior Star at Weber Place. “As a contributing member of the Romeoville community and beyond, part of our responsibility is to provide a place of solace for people who are going through similar life challenges. There is support in numbers, which is why it's so important for us to facilitate these meaningful group support sessions. If our team can help individuals attain a sense of peace, develop coping skills or come to a resolution that works for them, then we have done our job. We encourage everyone to join one or more of these groups and to bring friends and family members with them.”
