Western Kane County Republican Organization to host barbecue fundraiser Aug. 4

The Western Kane County Republican Organization will hold its annual barbecue fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, at Lions Park, 500 S. Filmore St. in Elburn.

Speakers will be Dan Proft and Joe Walsh. Gubernatorial candidates Dan Rutherford, Bruce Rauner and Kirk Dillard are scheduled to attend, as are many local elected officials.

Tickets are $35 or $15 for children, ages 4-11. The menu includes grilled pork chops, chicken, salads, corn, tea, coffee and cash bar. Lions Park has indoor seating, a playground and a sports area available.
