CCU Hosts “Home Buying Made Easy” Workshop En Español
Waukegan, IL, July 9th, 2013: Marketplace fact: there has never been a better time to purchase a home than right now. With mortgage rates hovering near 50 year lows, homes are priced aggressively, with many sellers ready and willing to offer buyers a great deal. What better time than now to take advantage of these conditions?
Marketplace fact #2: home buying can be a scary process and most buyers have numerous questions about the home buying process. This is especially true for recent immigrants, especially those not yet proficient with real estate terms in the English language. That’s why Consumers Credit Union (CCU) has teamed up with Consumers Cooperative Association (CCA), the credit union’s sponsor, to provide practical answers to questions about every aspect of the home buying process. The “Home Buying Made Easy” (or “Compra de Casa Hecho Fácil”) workshop will be presented in Spanish on Wednesday, July 31st at the Round Lake Area Library.
“Consumers Credit Union is excited to present our popular home buying seminar to the Spanish-speaking community,” said Sean M. Rathjen, CCU President. “One of the credit union’s goals is to offer everyone access to affordable homes. This workshop will provide answers folks need to decide if buying is right for them, while helping them make the best purchasing decision possible. Those in attendance will receive information to help them sort through financing options, along with other tips to help make purchasing their dream home the joyous experience it should be.”
Compra de Casa Hecho Fácil features experts from every aspect of the home buying process. Alejandra (Alex) Garcia and Juan Gonzalez, CCU Loan Officers, will explain the pros and cons of the many financing options available. Tomas Gomez of ReMax Showcase and Jose Rodriguez from Rodriguez Home Inspectors will be on hand to provide valuable home purchasing tips, showing attendees how to get priority access affordable homes on the market including foreclosures, short sales and other great real estate deals.
