BS&T, Three Dog Night among Elk Grove concert headliners

The Elk Grove Village Board and Elk Grove Park District announce the third year of the “Unity Within The Community” — a joint partnership for hosting the village’s fifth annual, four-week, free, Mid-Summer Classics concert series.

The Elk Grove Village and Elk Grove Park District will host a new band highlighting a specific era in musical history on Tuesday evenings in July. The concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. on the Village Green, which is located between the Charles J. Zettek Municipal Complex, at 901 Wellington Ave., and the Elk Grove Library, at 1001 Wellington Ave.

Food and beverages will be available at the event for family friendly pricing. The village’s interactive spray park will also be available for children and adults to enjoy while listening to the live music. Residents and guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to this free event.

Parking is available in the Elk Grove Town Center (at the southwest corner of Biesterfield and Arlington Heights Road) and Park District Pavilion (1000 Wellington Ave.).

“For years, Elk Grove Village has partnered with the park district to provide high quality entertainment for the residents of Elk Grove. The community spirit displayed at the Mid-Summer Classics concert series is a testament of the character of our residents and exemplifies why Elk Grove Village is truly the “Exceptional Community” said Mayor Craig B. Johnson.
