WBBM and ABC 7 reported on their websites that the parade will start at the United Center and proceed to the south end of Grant Park for an 11 a.m. rally. Details on the exact route have not been released.
So far, the rain outlook looks a lot better than early in the week — the National Weather Service forecasts a high of 81 degrees with just a 20 percent chance of showers.
Metra is expected to provide information about whether extra trains will be scheduled later today.
A huge crowd is expected, given that the celebration falls on a Friday and school is out, said Bill McCaffrey, a spokesman for the mayor's office.
