Watch out Roselle! Roselle resident Stephanie Herman stars as Sally in Fox Valley Repertory's "Why Do Fools Fall in Love?"

June 2013, Roselle, IL – Stephanie Herman is no stranger to Fox Valley Repertory. You might have previously seen her as Lois in Breaking Up Is Hard to Do last spring. She is back on the Pheasant Run Mainstage as boy-crazy and independent Sally in the perfect summer musical, Why Do Fools Fall in Love?

Herman's character in Why Do Fools Fall in Love is Sally, Millie's best friend, a ‘man-crazed blonde with busty bravado,' who goes out of her way to make sure that the rest of the girls in the group have a good time.

Herman's favorite part of the show is the music, of course. “You are definitely going to know the tunes of the show,” Herman says. “My favorite song that I get to sing is ‘Watch Out Sally,' because everybody knows it and it's an awesome tune. What I like about it is that you could be hearing it for the first time; just by the way we're singing it. We're singing it as if it's actually what we're thinking. It's so great to rediscover this music like that.”

Herman is thrilled to be back on Fox Valley Rep's Mainstage for another production. “One of my favorite things about Fox Valley Rep and one of the reasons that I'm back on this stage is that it's a nice intimate theater that makes it feel like a mini-concert.”

Herman is a Chicagoland native, hailing from Roselle, IL where she still resides today. A proud Actors Equity Association member, her recent credits include She Loves Me (Writers Theatre), Merrily We Roll Along (The Music Theatre Company), Chess, Sweet & Hot, Starting Here, Starting Now, and Time After Time (Theo Ubique).

Herman works alongside actresses Mary Margaret Roberts of Chicago (Dee Dee), Carol Rose of Chicago (Millie), and Carrie Weis of Schaumburg (Flo). Together, they create a cast that will have you dancing and singing along to classic 1960's songs such as “Watch Out Sally” and “My Boy Lollipop,” along with famous dances of the 60's such as the Twist, the Mashed Potato, The Monkey, The Jerk, and many more!
