Sports physicals for Hawthorn students:
Hawthorn Middle North in Vernon Hills will host a sports physical day from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 10. Physicals will be provided by Accelerated Rehabilitation Services for $20. Starting next year, Hawthorn and Vernon Hills High School students must have sports physicals that are good for the entire season to be eligible to participate in an activity. A sports physical does not include immunizations and will not cover the full physical exam needed for students entering grades 6 or 9.
