Rutherford to meet with Wheeling Republicans

State Treasurer Dan Rutherford, who on Sunday officially announced he will be running for governor in 2014, will be the guest speaker at a Wheeling Township Republicans event starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at 909 E. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.

Ruth O’Connell, GOP committeeman, invites the public to meet Rutherford. Another Republican gubernatorial candidate, State Sen. Kirk Dillard of Hinsdale, spoke to the group in May.
