Dist. 79’s Bickley honored for excellence

Fremont School District 79 Board President Sandra Bickley received a Distinguished Service Award for excellence from the Illinois School Public Relations Association in May.
Bickley won this prestigious honor for her initiation and support of the district’s communications efforts. She is a key communicator for the district, promoting the work of public education to numerous audiences. Bickley is an effective leader and collaborative partner, initiating, designing and promoting numerous projects that go above and beyond volunteer job duties and result in improved understanding and communication in this school and district, including partnering from the Fremont Education Foundation, teaming with area school districts on shared service projects, facilitating dialogue at parent information nights, improving and enhancing school safety, and ensuring buildings are beautified and improved.
Bickley is a Board of Education leader who inspires trust in the Fremont School District 79 organization through her consistent messaging and effective actions that have had a major, lasting positive impact leading to support for education by Fremont’s many stakeholders.
