New committees forming in Island Lake

Island Lake Mayor Charles Amrich delayed naming the members and leaders of the village board’s various committees last week. Amrich was set to announce the memberships during Thursday’s meeting but postponed for unspecified reasons. Village documents indicate four committees covering various aspects of village business will be formed. That’s down a few from the previous administration. Three are set to be run by trustees who ran on Amrich’s slate in April’s election, documents show.
