Seventh Graders Service Project Benefits International Relief Efforts

Mason Rose and Daniel Spencer, seventh graders at Northbrook Junior High School, sold cookies and brownies outside a local Starbucks on Mother's Day. The boys also did the baking of their wares. They collected $120 which Daniel presented to the Rotary Club of Long Grove, Kildeer, and Hawthorn Woods at the Club meeting last Tuesday. The money is to benefit the Shelter Box project which provides disaster relief internationally. Daniel's grandfather, Ross Spencer, is an area representative of Shelter Box and a member of the Club. Both granddad and the Club matched the contribution.
