Golf to help charity for teen mothers

Tee Off for a teen mother and her child at the Teen Mother Choices Golf Outing and win a free car lease. The event will be held on Friday, May 17, at White Deer Run Golf Club, 250 W. Gregg’s Parkway, Vernon Hills. Registration is at 11:30 a.m. with a 1 p.m. shotgun scramble.

Those who don’t golf can still take part in the event dinner program and silent auction at 5:30 p.m., where they can be inspired by stories from teen mothers who have graduated from the program and learn more about Teen Mother Choices, is a nonprofit Christian organization devoted to the physical, emotional and spiritual growth of teenage mothers and their young children.

To date, TMC has provided services to more than 400 teen mothers, helping them become self-sufficient contributing members of society while giving their children the best possible start in life.
