Family-friendly Big Trucks event in Palatine
Palatine Park District presents Big Trucks, a free community event, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, in the Family Aquatic Center Parking Lot, at 340 E. Palatine Road.
This entertaining family event allows children of all ages the opportunity to see big trucks and vehicles up close. They will even be able to sit in the driver’s seat in some of the trucks. This year’s event will also include goodie bags for the first 400 children and raffle prizes including movie tickets to Cutting Hall, pool passes, gift certificates and more.
The Palatine Park District partners with many local organizations and companies to present this free event for the Palatine community. Groups currently scheduled to showcase their vehicles include: Groot Recycling, Got Junk, LaGrange Crane, Hummel Construction, Palatine Police Department, Community Consolidated School District 15, Public Works Department, Palatine Fire Department, Advance Disposal, A Express Towing, Rogners Garage, Jewel, MBL Recycling, and the Palatine Park District. Parking will be available in the Community Center Parking Lot located at 250 E. Wood St., Palatine.

The Palatine Park District is a separate municipal governing agency established for the purpose of providing parks, facilities and recreational programs for the community. The park district is responsible for the maintenance, operation and administration of parks and parks facilities under its jurisdiction.
