Lake Villa woman facing drug charges

A Lake Villa woman faces drug charges following a traffic stop by Lake County sheriff’s police, authorities announced Monday.

Stacie Vickers, 38, of the 24000 block of West Forest Drive, was arrested April 22 and charged with unlawful possession of cannabis, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police found more than 78 grams of cannabis, about 9 grams of cocaine, 3 grams of heroin, drug paraphernalia and $1,062 in Vickers’ van after a search on Route 59 near Busse Lane in Lake Villa Township, according to a news release.

Vickers was released from custody after posting 10 percent of a $25,000 bail. She is scheduled to appear in court April 30.
