The Downtown Neighborhood Association of Elgin invites local children’s organizations to sign up for a free mini-field trip day at the Downtown Elgin Harvest Market this summer.

This nine-week program will be offered at the market from noon to 2 p.m. Thursdays, June 13 to Aug. 15 (excluding July 4).

Focusing on fitness, food, and related activities, each of the three 20-minute sessions will be led by several of the following local nonprofit community partners: Boys & Girls Club, The Centre of Elgin, Elgin Area History Museum, Elgin Public Museum, Greater Elgin Family Care Center, Side Street Studio Arts, and YWCA Elgin.

Market patrons can also have their children participate in these sessions for free with no RSVP required.
