Lisle Chamber to Award $500 Scholarships to High School Seniors

The Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce will award eight to ten $500 scholarships to local high school seniors. Awards are based on several considerations that include academic achievement, community involvement, and need. Scholarship Applications are available at local high schools or from the Lisle Chamber website at www.lislechamber.com.

“We are very pleased that the business community through the Lisle Chamber is able to give back to our students who are the future of our country,” said Tom Althoff, CEO/President of the Lisle Chamber. “This scholarship program is also a benefit of Lisle Chamber membership.”

The deadline for submitting the Scholarship Application packet is Friday, April 12, 2013. Applicants must reside in Lisle or have an immediate family member that works for a Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce business, and plans to attend a vocational school, a business college or a two or four year college or university.

The money for the scholarships comes from the Lisle Chamber participation in the Eyes to the Sky Festival and from donations from Chamber member businesses including Lisle Savings Bank.

Students wishing to apply should contact their school guidance counselor or the Lisle Chamber website, www.lislechamber.com. For more information on scholarships or sponsorships, contact the Lisle Area Chamber at 630-964-0052 or info@lislechamber.com.
