Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth held Congress at Your Corner at the Bloomingdale Public Library

Bloomingdale, IL - Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth held a Congress at Your Corner event at the Bloomingdale Public Library on Saturday, March 23. Congress at Your Corner is an opportunity for residents of Bloomingdale and 8th Congressional District to share their questions, comments and concerns with Congresswoman Duckworth.

Congresswoman Duckworth arrived to a full house for a Congress at Your Corner event at Bloomingdale Public Library. Congresswoman Duckworth addressed the crowd and then hosted a question and answer session with the audience. Local residents brought up issues of concern and a spirited discussion ensued among the Congresswoman and audience members.

After the public forum, Congresswoman Duckworth met with people individually. The event, which was scheduled for one hour, was extended to give every audience member a chance to interact with the Congresswoman.

Library Director Timothy Jarzemsky also met with Congresswoman Duckworth to discuss important library legislation and how it impacts public libraries and community members in the 8th Congressional District.

Library Director Jarzemsky stated “Libraries are increasingly becoming important as community gathering places; it was our pleasure to open up the Bloomingdale Public Library for a visit with Congresswoman Duckworth. Due to the incredible crowd we anticipate holding another event with her in the near future.”
